Dermatology decision support for the whole care pathway.
Legit.Health is a medical device, certified under the EU Medical Device Regulation, that analyses photographs of the skin. From one photograph it gives a primary care team, a specialist or a healthcare organisation a clinical report with valuable insights ranging from a ranked list of conditions to the indexes that help decide where the case goes and severity scores when the condition has a validated scale. It comes as one app you embed in your own system. The app has its own API, which sends every finished report to your systems as JSON, FHIR or PDF.
Diagnosis support, the referral and malignancy indexes, the image quality check, severity scores, the capture flow, and where it runs.
One app you embed in your own system, with its API, live within a week.
Public health systems triaging in primary care, insurers running skin checks photographed on a member's phone, and clinics following chronic patients between visits.
What Legit.Health returns
What Legit.Health returns, from one photograph.
From a photograph of the skin, Legit.Health returns structured clinical data. Every value is a field your system can act on: to refer a patient, order a waiting list, open a fast-track pathway for suspected skin cancer, or flag a chronic patient whose score has risen since the last visit. The photograph can be taken by all users; the result is read by a healthcare professional, who keeps the decision. The performance of the device has been clinically validated to prove its safety and performance.
Diagnosis support
The conditions the photograph may show, ranked, each with its probability and its ICD-11 code.
Referral index
The probability, from 0 to 100, that the case needs referral to a dermatologist, so a threshold you set helps decide the pathway and the priority.
Malignancy index
The probability, from 0 to 100, that the lesion is malignant, for fast-track pathways and skin cancer screening.
Image quality check
Every photograph is scored before it is analysed, and refused with a reason when it is not good enough.
Severity measure
Automated versions of validated scales such as PASI for psoriasis and SCORAD for atopic dermatitis, to measure how severe a condition is and follow it over time.
Guided capture flow
Body site, guided photographs, quality check and report: the same four steps whether a nurse or a patient holds the phone.
Who runs it this way
Health systems, insurers and clinics, each with its own goals.
Public health systems, health insurers and private clinics build many workflows on the clinical report and its insights, often several at once: diagnostic support, triage and referral, a fast track for serious conditions, teledermatology, capture at home and the follow-up of chronic conditions. What differs is what each is trying to achieve. Among them are Sanitas, Adeslas, Cigna, Ribera Salud, SESPA and SERMAS. See every workflow
- Public health systems. To empower primary care, refer only the patients who need a specialist, and order the dermatology waiting list by need.
- Health insurers. For the quality of care: each member sees the right specialist at the right time, and care can start with a photograph taken at home.
- Private clinics. For continuity of care: patients are followed between visits, and the response to treatment is measured the same way every time.
