Follow every patient between visits, not only at them.

Private clinics use Legit.Health to follow their patients between appointments and to measure the response to treatment the same way every time. Most combine several workflows; this page follows the chronic follow-up of acne and atopic dermatitis, where the patient photographs at home and the clinic's record flags a score that has risen.

The workflows they combine

Four workflows, one report.

Follow-up is where most clinics start, and the same report supports the rest: remote capture, a fast track when something looks serious, and teledermatology.

Follow-up

Treatment response, measured

The same validated severity scale at every check, so a patient who is getting worse is flagged between visits.

Remote capture

Care that starts at home

Patients and members photograph the lesion on their own phone, guided step by step, without a trip to the clinic.

Fast track

Serious conditions seen first

Suspected malignancy and urgent cases reach a specialist ahead of the queue, whatever the disease.

Teledermatology

Teledermatology without the back-and-forth

The quality check refuses photographs that cannot be assessed, and every case arrives documented, so the dermatologist can decide at first sight.

Who is in the loop

Who does what.

The patient takes the photographs at home, Legit.Health scores each one, and the clinic's record keeps the history. The dermatologist reads the curve, not the stack of photographs.

  • The patient: photographs at home on the schedule the clinic sets, with the same guidance every time.
  • Legit.Health: scores each photograph on the same validated scale, and returns the differential so the record can check the condition is still the one diagnosed.
  • The dermatologist: sees a severity curve rather than a stack of photographs, and is alerted when a score rises.

One workflow, step by step

From the first visit to a severity trend measured the same way each time.

Chronic follow-up, in five steps that turn a diagnosis at the visit into a severity curve built from home, measured the same way every time.

  1. The baseline: At the visit, the dermatologist photographs and scores the condition. That report is the first point on the curve.
  2. Photographs at home: The patient photographs on schedule, with guidance and the quality check, so each point is comparable with the last.
  3. The same score, every time: Legit.Health scores the photograph on the same scale and returns the differential; the clinic's record files the result against the patient's history.
  4. The comparison: The record compares the new score with the last. A score that crosses the threshold, or keeps rising above it, flags the patient for the dermatologist. A stable or falling score is recorded for the dermatologist to review.
  5. Visits when they are needed: The dermatologist schedules visits based on the trend, and sees the whole course on one screen at each one.

What Legit.Health contributes

The fields this workflow reads.

Follow-up only means something if every capture is measured in exactly the same way. Legit.Health provides the same measurement every time; the comparison between visits is a rule in your record.

The rule for chronic follow-up, from the integration guide: if the previously diagnosed condition is still detected and a validated scoring scale applies, compare the sign intensity grade with the previous report; a grade that crosses the threshold from below, or rises further while already above it, raises an anomaly for the dermatologist.

How it works

  • A validated severity score calculated identically at every capture, which is what makes the curve meaningful.
  • The differential, so the record can check the previously diagnosed condition is still the one detected before any score is compared.
  • Your own identifiers on every report, so the record relates the reports of one patient over time and the curve is a query, not a spreadsheet.
  • The comparison is a rule in your record, so the clinic is alerted to change rather than to every photograph.

Who runs it this way

Clinics that monitor their patients between appointments.

Private providers such as Ribera Salud and Sanitas, which runs its own clinics as well as insuring, already follow their patients this way. The app takes you there, with its API carrying each report into your systems.
